This is one of the most awarded off-road camper trailers ever built. The 2020 Patriot X3 took home Australian Camper Trailer of the Year, Best Build Quality, and the X-Factor Award in the same year. Now one is sitting at our Utah Experience Center in Charcoal, ready for its next chapter.
The X3 is a side-fold hybrid camper with sealed internal living space, purpose-built for couples or small families who want to disappear into the backcountry without sacrificing comfort. At just over 12 feet from hitch to rear, it tracks tight behind your rig on the narrowest trails, then opens up into a full camp with a 270-degree awning, slide-out kitchen, and a sealed interior lounge that converts to additional sleeping.
Everything underneath is built to take a beating. Hot-dip galvanized Rigilite chassis. Cruisemaster X-Cruise airbag suspension. Rhino-coated underbody with checkerplate bash plate. 33-inch mud terrains on PCOR 16-inch wheels. Two rated rear recovery points. This trailer was designed in Australia's outback, and it shows.
Off-grid capability is serious. 300Ah of battery paired with a REDARC RedVision total vehicle management system and a 1,500W inverter means you can run your fridge, charge your devices, and stay out longer. 34 gallons of onboard water with a Webasto diesel hot water system means real showers, not cold rinse-offs. And the Webasto heater warms the interior tent space, so shoulder-season camping is comfortable, not miserable.
Patriot holds over 40 registered and pending patents, designs, and trademarks. This is not a mass-produced trailer. It is an engineered piece of equipment built to a standard most manufacturers do not attempt.
